McAlester Scottish Rite Foundation Scholarship
This educational fund was established in 1983, as a result of a special bequest, to provide educational assistance for blind and legally blind Oklahoma residents. The University of Oklahoma receives a fixed amount of scholarship money, which is then divided among those students who submit an application, meet eligibility requirements and are enrolled at least half time. Applications for fall and spring assistance can be obtained from the Disability Resource Center office. Will Rogers Memorial Scholarship Eligibility criteria includes individuals with a physical disability and non-disabled individuals who desire to prepare themselves for service in the education of individuals with disabilities. Students who are enrolled or expected to enroll in the University, who are residents of Oklahoma and in need of aid may make application to the Financial Aid Office, Robertson Hall, 731 Elm Ave, (405) 325-4521 (Voice) or (405) 325-6516 (TDD). The Honorable Robert J. Dole Scholarship for Students with Disabilities Former U.S. Sen. Robert J. Dole established a scholarship endowment in 1998, earnings of which are to benefit University of Oklahoma students who are certified as having a disability by the Disability Resource Center. The Selection Committee awards the scholarship on the basis of leadership service to the nation, state, community or University. Preference also is given to students with certified disabilities who demonstrate academic excellence as well as financial need. Applications are available at the Disability Resource Center and the Financial Aid Office. Contact DRC or the Financial Aid Office for application deadlines.
